DJ SIRCHUCK Power Protein Salmon Recipe
Salmon Recipe
1 Salmon Fillet (large slice)
1 Sheet of Aluminum Foil
1 Baking Sheet
Condiments:
1 pinch (1/8th tsp.) of Garlic Salt course ground w Parsley
1 pinch of Sea Salt
1 pinch of Black Peppercorn Cracked Pepper
1 pinch of Garlic Powder
1 pinch of Oregano
1 pinch of Basil leaves
1 pinch of Ground Thyme
1 pinch of Thyme leaves
1/4 stick of Butter
Directions:
Take a large square piece of aluminum foil and put it directly above a rectangular baking sheet (large). Place the Salmon Fillet in the middle of the aluminum foil.
First, take the quarter stick of butter and divide it into 4-5 slices. Take those small square slices and spread them out evenly underneath the skin of the salmon and on top of the aluminum foil.
Put a small layer of Black Peppercorn on top of fish. (5-6 turns of the pepper cracker). Next, put a small layer of sea salt evenly over the top of the fish. Don't over do it, avoid salt clumps at all cost.
Now, grab a small cup or bowl to make your "rub." Put into your rub: 1 pinch of garlic powder, 1 small pinch of Oregano, 1 pinch of Basil leaves, 1 pinch of Ground Thyme, 1 small pinch of Thyme leaves, 1 pinch of Garlic Salt Course w/ Parsley.
Mix it all together. Use your fingers to spread an even layer of your rub across the whole top of your fish. Spread it evenly, and again, don't over do it. Make sure its just enough to make a layer across the top of the fish. Dont pile on too much and avoid "clumps" of spices. I personally just let it sit on the top, I don't actually rub the spices in. Now your Power Protein Salmon Fillet is almost ready!
The final step is to fold the aluminum foil into the fish. I like to fold the top and the bottom of the foil over the fish, while leaving an opening in the middle. Then I like to fold the two sides as to close the foil (like a hot pocket), while making sure there is a prominent slit opening at the center of the foil. Your fish is ready to go into the oven!
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F and let fish bake for 20 minutes. Check on the fish when the salmon is done by carefully opening the center. You may want to cook for an extra 10 minutes depending on your liking. Its normal to see white fatty streaks, so don't worry if it looks slightly undercooked, its not. Salmon is usually cooked to perfection and tender after 20 minutes. You can let the salmon sit for a few minutes in the oven as its cooling, and take some of the spiced butter juices from the bottom and pour them over the fish with a spoon. And "Wa Laaaa!"
You have an excellent salmon dinner.
